He joined Bank Of India as Agriculture officer in 1992 after brief stint of 2 years in RRB as DRO. Thus have a banking exposure of 30 years. He has been posted at various rural, semi urban, urban, metro branches and also three overseas branches. Thus, he has good banking experience with various types of strata of the society. Since 2009, he has been working as Branch head with stint of three years as Zonal Manager. Areas of specialization includes rural banking, advances, corporate financing and international Banking. He strongly believes in sustainable Progressive Banking with social wellbeing.

Major contribution

  • At Osaka branch (Japan), he was instrumental in turning around the branch from loss making to profit making through various long term measures.
  • During the stint at Nepean Sea Road branch in 2012-13, he has implemented AADHAR based subsidy transfer pilot project with UIDAI. It was first tie up for the bank.
  • During stint of Paris, he has Introduced “Secondary Participation in FI Assets scheme” in Oct 2015 (first proposal of the bank). Steered Paris branch through Stringent LCR (Liquidity Coverage Ratio) and improved profitability.
  • As Zonal head of Kolhapur, introduced many structural changes, evolved processes for ease of business.
