He started his career as a Management Executive with Nagpur Times which was then the leading English Newspaper in Central India. However, he soon followed his entrepreneurial acumen and ambition and started his own advertising agency Profit Advertisers (India) Pvt.Ltd. in 1988. A year later, joined hands with another advertising agency from Pune, Market Missionaries.Market Missionaries (India) Pvt. Ltd. later ranked amongst the top 40advertising agencies in India (A&M Survey) with branches in Pune, Mumbai, New Delhi, Nagpur, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Later in the year 2000 onwards MMIPL started organizing Sci tech Exhibition, Conferences & events and is now a leading Sci-Tech communication company in India, renamed as MM Activ Sci Tech Communications Pvt Ltd.
Mr. Ravindra Boratkar is the Managing Director of MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Pvt. Ltd., an Integrated B2B Knowledge Media House. MM Activ focuses on the proliferation of Science & Technology through multi-dimensional initiatives and programmes.
A Media Entrepreneur having won many awards and accolades in early 90s decided to embark upon a new enterprise - to build and develop a knowledge media organization that would facilitate seamless exchange of knowledge between Industry, Academia, Scientific Fraternity, Researchers, Policy Makers and Entrepreneurs in the field of Science & Technology. He leads the organisation with the core objective of creating powerful platforms for all the stakeholders of the Sci-Tech sectors to come together and deliberate on the issues of national importance.
Being focused and discipline oriented, he has been successful in establishing and scaling up the flagship event of Indian Science Congress(ISC) into an interactive Science & Technology Exhibition- Pride of India (PoI) Expo, which occurs every year concurrent to the prestigious ISC. Ever since then, the expo has not only become an integral part of ISC but also it is a major attraction and one of the largest exhibition dedicated to S&T in India.
He has also played a vital role in strengthening initiatives in R&D and other cuttingedge technology events. He is also instrumental in making the group more inclusive by creating and developing a fresh vertical in modern Agro Sector
Agrovision is now Central India’s Largest Agri Summit with successful 10 editions. Agrovision attempts to showcase the new tools of S&T, grass root innovations & modern farm practices to accelerate the agriculture productivity
Mr. Ravindra believes that the mantra of a progressive India lies in the growth of Kisan and Vigyan. His passion to attain new achievements by focusing on new era of innovations & technologies has kept him going against all odds. Success of AGROVISION has lead to the formation of Agrovision Foundation which is engaged in conducting Training Programmes for Farmers through out the year. He is President of the Foundation. Under his leadership, MM Activ has forayed into conceptualizing and organizing major events in association with the Government, Trade bodies and Industry focusing on areas like Agrotech & Commodities, Biotechnology, Coffee Export & Equipment, Nutraceuticals, R&D and Higher Education, With his superb qualities in Public Relations and Networking, he also looks after the Media Division of the group. Media Division includes niche B2B publications: BioSpectrum Asia, BioSpectrum India and NuFFooD Spectrum India and AgroSpectrum, a niche media on Agriculture and allied services.
MMA under his leadership ventured into facility & venue management, he is also Managing Director of Asian Conventions & Expositions Pvt Ltd which has started operations & maintenance of one of the specially designed & built Exhibition & Conventions Centre in India i.e. CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai on a sprawling area of 16 Acres and Air-conditioned Exhibition Halls of Over 10,000 sq mts with state of the art convention, auditorium facility.
Mr. Ravindra has recently been awarded Exemplary Excellence in the Industry – Exhibition & Excellence Award -2019 at India Expo Mart Limited.

Organising Secretary of Agrovision & President AGROVISION FOUNDATION: Agrovision is a platform to Educate ,Encourage and Empower farmers was created with an Objective to enable Sustainable livelihood for small & marginal farm holders. Agrovision has now emerged as the largest Agriculture summit in Central India. Agrovision – A National Expo, Free Workshops for the Farmers, a one day symposium on a relevant topic & an Expert panel discussions on nationally important topic, is held annually at Nagpur. Lakhs of progressive farmers from across the country participate in this summit. The forum is a multi sectorial event where agro industries, research institutes, central and state government organizations, farmers, producers, traders, students, academics and scientists, etc., exchange ideas and work for the growth and betterment of agriculture sector. Agrovision is also encouraging grassroot level innovators & agri-startups. To continue these activities throughout the year and spread its reach in entire Vidarbha AGROVISION FOUNDATION WAS FORMED IN the year 2015 and he was made a President of the same

Travels: Mr. Ravindra has travelled extensively to represent India on many business platforms. Some of the countries that he has been to are USA, France, Belgium, Spain , Russia, Turkey, Israel, Iran, South Korea, Japan, South Africa etc.
