Shri Shajan Babu V.B.
General Manager, Bank of Baroda
Mr. Shajan Babu VB (General Manager) has held various key positions across multiple
geographical locations, demonstrating a strong track record in rural and agricultural
banking, gold loans, branch operations and in credit department. He began his career in
Bank of Baroda at Kosamba Branch in the Surat district, serving in Branch Operations from
September 1999 to October 2002. He then transitioned to a credit role at Sayan Branch
from October 2002 to October 2005. He then moved to Kim Branch, where he worked as
Branch Head from October 2005 to July 2008.
In Kasargod Branch, within the Calicut region, he served as Branch Head from July 2008 to
November 2011. Later, he got transferred to Tirur Branch in Thrissur Region, where he
continued as Branch Head from November 2011 to June 2013.
Following this, from June 2013 to August 2016, he worked at the Mumbai Corporate Office
(BCC), in the Rural and Agricultural Banking department.
Expanding his expertise internationally, he served as Deputy Chief Executive at the Hong
Kong Central Branch from July 2016 to February 2020 and then as Chief Executive from
February 2020 to June 2021. Upon returning to India, he was posted at the Vadodara Head
Office, initially as Deputy General Manager in Rural and Agricultural Banking from June 2021
to February 2024. He was then appointed as Head of Gold Loan in February 2024.
Currently, he is working as the Head of Rural and Agricultural Banking, Gold Loan, RRBs, and
RSETI Department at the Vadodara Head Office, effective from June 2024.
