Dr. Pratiksha Mayee has a brilliant academic background with Post Graduation in
Biotechnology from Dr. B.A Marathwada University, Aurangabad as well as Plan Genetic
Manipulation from The University of Nottingham, Nottingham (UK) and Ph.D. (Plant
Molecular Biology) from TERI University, New Delhi.
She is presently working as the Deputy General Manager (Research) at Ankur Seeds Pvt
Ltd, Nagpur. Earlier, she has worked as Domain Expert at UTKARSH-PDKV Agri-Business
Incubation Centre (R-ABI), Dr. PDKV, Akola; Member of Board of Studies at Department of
Biotechnology, Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur; Member, College
Development Committee, at LAD College for women, Nagpur as an Industry Expert and
Agriculture Scientist (Biotechnology) at Central Institute for Cotton Research, Nagpur.
Besides research conferences, she has been called as Guest Speaker at a various
Institutes, Schools and forums in Nagpur like Priyadarshini College (PIET), Jhulelal Institute
of Technology, Mundle Public School, Rajiv Gandhi Biotechnology Centre, LAD College for
Women, Dept of Biochemistry (Nagpur University), LIT, Technology Park (Nagpur
University), Vanamati, CICR, Agro Vision, South Point School, Hitavada Literature Festival to
name a few.
Dr. Pratiksha Kashikar, has published four research papers and made poster presentation at
seven national/international conferences.
She loves traveling and writing her experiences. More than 25 travel articles have been
published in reputed Hitavada newspaper, Travelogue: Sunday supplement. She has also
published a book on her travel experiences titled as ‘Love Wanders the Globe’ in 2019..
She is an active social activist and is the President Elect of Rotary Club of Nagpur
Downtown. She received the prestigious Best Lady Rotarian award for the year 2017-18
and LATE PRID EDUL C. EDULJEE AWARD FOR THE BEST CLUB SECRETARY in
2020-21 in Rotary International District 3030 which comprises of over 100 clubs from Nashik
to Nagpur. She is a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow and Paul Harris Society member who pledge
to donate to the Rotary foundation every year for needful projects.
In 2018 she was felicitated and recognized as a potential Women Entrepreneur by Dhantoli
Mahila Manch on Women’s day. She has also received Niramayee Patron award from JCI
Medicos in 2022 for women empowerment.
